Overall, this is a really great program for making, of course, infographics. It functions very much like Adobe Illustrator or Affinity Designer, but without as many tools so that you are not overwhelmed. For users that are accustomed to such design programs, Infographic Creator includes tools like layers, layer effects, text styles, a pen and pencil tool, numerous shapes and even graphics built into the program, and even an animator. However, for users who are not experienced with graphic design software, there are plenty of predesigned templates that can be easily modified.
There are a couple of aspects of this program that could be improved upon. This includes:
– Quick tips when hovering on an icon should appear much faster, and need to appear even if the button associated with the icon is disabled (which it doesn’t do now).
– Undo is a little quirky. In experimenting with the program I would occasionally change an object via a style or other settings, and no matter how many times I used CTRL+Z or even Undo from the Edit menu, it would not undo.
– The Lock icon on the individual layers is of no use, as it is nearly impossible to see the difference between a locked and unlocked layer. This is very annoying to me because I utilize this feature a lot in almost all design software.
– No ability to group layers into folders or other hierarchies. This is a nightmare for OCD designers!!!
– Possibly a better choice of font for the icons for the toolbar buttons. On my big desktop monitor, these are ok. but if I move the window to my laptop monitor, the icons are difficult to read. Removing some of the boldness of the text and icons may help this.
Overall, for the price, this is a fantastic product to help design infographics quickly and easily, and highly recommended!
